This year’s theme is “Melting Pot” and with the 2012 Olympics being staged here, this is as good a time as any to look at the rich legacy which exist today in multi-cultural Britain and bring them to the fore on the carnival platform.
This being our 27th year of Carnival we intend to make this a memorable one. Our counterparts from the EMCCAN Consortium, visiting troupes and our local participants will be joining forces to produce costumes and other presentations to make this year's carnival the best ever.
If you are not yet involved in Leicester Caribbean Carnival 2012, now is the best time to join us.
We are looking for volunteers to serve as street carnival stewards and collectors, stall monitors and in other roles. On the artistic side we are always scouting for talent and provide support to groups wishing to produce a costumed band. The opportunities are varied so feel free to contact us either by email or on the phone.
As we move forward we are putting in place the tools to help us with our programmes and projects.

The Leicester Caribbean Carnival is forever grateful for the support of its volunteers, staff and suppliers who work tirelessly year after year to ensure its success.
The Leicester City Council through its Festival Events Unit and Arts Council England have continued to support us financially. Our sponsors, stall holders and donors contribution also help us to cover some of our costs associated with the staging of this event.
